Three of the five

The hall filling up on a Saturday afternoon

Thursday's cellar hour takes twelve people in the cool store at five. A grower or a maker pours, talks for ten minutes and answers whatever gets asked. It is free and it fills by Wednesday.

The Saturday grading bench is our version of a tournament, which is to say points, a chalked ladder and a bottle for the winning bench to share on the spot. No entry fee, no prize money, nothing to claim.

Monday is deliberately quiet. The beginners' hour runs at six, eight seats, and after it the same people usually stay on and play badly and happily until close.

  • Thu 5pm

Cellar hour, twelve seats, free, ring to hold one.

  • Sat 4pm

Grading bench, open ladder, no stake of any kind.

  • Mon 6pm

Beginners' hour, eight seats, no experience needed.
